Apps for students

Since mobile applications are getting increadibly important in all areas of life, especially education provides a great field of application for the little helpers in your pocket. In this blog i want to introduce two apps that are especially useful for students and can help them organize their student-life.

1) Evernote: Evernote has been one of the most sucessfull mobile applications released yet. Basically it is a app that lets users take notes using text, images, videos and audio-information and helps managing these throughout different devices and on different projects. After signing up for a free account, evernote syncs all notes between computers and mobile devices using it so that all notes are available on any device. For students this offers a great opportunity for taking notes in class or quickly write down ideas regarding excercises and projects. The application is available on almost any mobile operating system as well as for Windows and MacOS. Further it is available as browser plugin for all major browsers. [1]

2) iStudiez Pro: While evernote covers managing ideas and notes, iStudiez Pro helps to organize courses, appointments, labs, homeworks and deadlines. The application lets students plan and manage their semester. It supports features like sceduling exams, laboratories and deadlines and helps students to get an overview over upcoming tasks and exams. A great feature it supports is a "today-screen" showing all relevant data regarding upcoming tasks for the day. Similar to Evernote, the app is available for the Mac and iOS and syncs automatically between those devices. It is currently available at a prize of 0,79 € in the Apple App Store (a lite version supporting way less features is available for free as well). [2]
